The Third Man Factor by John Geiger

Host: Rich H. Bill B.

Date: November 19, 2009

Judges Score: Only 3 members of Fight Club showed (not including the guy that chose the book). So, that should be an indication of how we liked the book: four of us didn’t even read it, and didn’t want to even pretend that they did and at least show up. For those of us who did read, we gave up after 45 minutes and played poker.

The book was terribly organized, repetitive, and poorly written. It would appear that no editor came near it. The good folks at Weinstein just let Geiger, like the extreme hikers/thrill seekers he profiles, wander aimlessly hoping that an imaginary friend will guide him in writing a coherent book.
